Gerardo Olvera
Born and raised in Mexico City. Gerardo has studied classical guitar with Professor Ronald Dunn at De Anza College and Kenneth Andrade at San Jose City College. Performed in master classes with three internationally acclaimed guitarists: David Russell, Iliana Matos, Cecilio Perera and received helpful guitar-technique advice from Manuel Barrueco. Currently, studying under Maestro Yuri Liberzon under scholarship. Mr. Olvera has a B.A in Spanish and music minor from San Jose State University and has completed A.A. Degree in Music from San Jose College. Gerardo has been teaching Guitar Courses for over 8 years at the School of Arts and Culture at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in San Jose and has taught privately for more than 10 years.
